Why Now is the Time to Travel

Over the years, I’ve had countless conversations with people who dreamed of that one special trip—a river cruise through Europe, a safari in Africa, or an escape to a faraway island. But time and again, those dreams were postponed. They were waiting for the right moment—when the kids were grown, when work slowed down, or once they reached retirement. Sadly, for many, that perfect time never came. I still carry the sadness that my mother never took the Alaska cruise she talked about for years. And my grandfather, who worked so hard his whole life, looked forward to traveling after retiring at 65—but he passed away before he ever had the chance. Those stories stay with me and remind me every day why I do what I do.

One of the hardest lessons I have learned in this work is that time is not promised. Health can change. Responsibilities shift. And suddenly, the dream of travel becomes something we regret not doing. That is why my personal philosophy, and the heart of Personal Touch Travel Design, is built around living with no regrets. Travel is about more than a destination. It is about connection, joy, and creating memories that stay with you forever.

I believe there is never a perfect time, but there is always a right time—and that time might be now. Whether you are marking a milestone, spending time with loved ones, or simply craving a change of scenery, I want to help make it possible. You do not have to plan something extravagant. Even a thoughtfully planned trip close to home can be just what your soul needs.

If there is a place you have been thinking about or a special experience you have always wanted to share with someone you love, I encourage you to take the first step. Let’s talk. Because the most meaningful journeys are not the ones we dream about forever. They are the ones we make happen while we can.
