My Heart is Full

As I am completing my first full year in the travel business, I have been reflecting on the people I have worked with and the places they have visited. Next week, I will give a summary of my year in travel, but this week, I wanted to highlight just a few of my clients’ adventures.

Hawaii:
This year, I planned 2 Hawaii honeymoons: 1 couple visitied Maui and the other couple visited Maui, Oahu and The Big Island. The first couple went for a week and I was able to plan a luau and a Sunset Cruise for them. They wanted time to relax and enjoy the view. The other couple had a 2 week adventure, filled with hiking, snorkeling, parasailing, cruising, eating and they even got to see the lava from Mauna Loa (which is a once in a lifetime event). It was such an honor to plan these 2 special honeymoons for these 2 special couples. And I have a few more people visiting Hawaii next year.

Greece:
This year I had a couple who spent 6 weeks working and playing in a beautiful villa in Santorini. They wanted to live like the locals and they did. I planned a few tours for them and they explored much on their own. And in their own words: “What an amazing trip. Planning for 42 days in Santorini, Greece couldn't have been easier.” And I have already booked people to go and explore Greece next year.

Italy:
I had clients who were visiting their son in Israel for 2 weeks and wanted to add on a European country at the end of the trip. After much discussion, they chose a trip to Italy, visiting Rome, Florence and Venice. And they had very specific tours they wanted. I was able to arrange a 10 day custom trip for them complete with hotels, tours and train tickets to the various cities. And they had a wonderful adventure.

California:
Not all of my clients leave the continental USA. I had 2 clients who went on very different trips to CA. One spent some time in San Francisco then drove to Sonoma/Napa area and visited the wineries. The other took a road trip on the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to San Diego, stopping at various stops along the way. I arranged hotels and tours for both and for the Pacific Coast Highway couple, I navigated the route for them. It is fun to travel in the USA.

While these are just a few of the adventures I planned this year, I have had so much fun helping people “build memories one vacation at a time.” I get to learn new things everyday, work with wonderful clients and see how these trips can change their lives. And that is why I love what I do.
