Why I Should Book Your Next Cruise

Proud to be part of the Virtuoso Cruise Community

As I have mentioned in the past, I work with a host company, Gifted Travel Network, which is part of Virtuoso, a leading global network of agencies that specialize in luxury and experiential travel. This year, I joined the Virtuoso Cruise Community, which gives me more cruise education and offers my clients additional benefits.

Booking a cruise can be confusing. When I work with cruisers, it is my job to match the cruiser with the ship. We discuss various types of cruises: ocean, river, expedition and yachts. We discuss the destinations: you can cruise all 7 continents. And we discuss the extras onboard the ships, like the things to do, spas, entertainment and dining. I then research the cruises and come back to them with my suggestions. After they decide on the itinerary and the ship, we then discuss cabins and all of the extras that may be needed like travel insurance, beverage and WiFi packages, flights and pre and post cruise accommodations and tours. I work with them prior to the cruise answering any questions and calling the cruise line for them if I don’t have the answers. I make their payments, show them how to check-in, give them an app with their full itinerary, print them a hard copy of all of their information and send them luggage tags for their cruise luggage tags.

On many cruises, I am also able to offer special Virtuoso Amenities, such as onboard credits, dinner for 2 at onboard specialty restaurants and spa credits. These are only available to people who book with me and are offered at no additional charge.

And on some cruises, Virtuoso offers Virtuoso Voyages, with a dedicated and trained onboard host, a private onboard welcome reception and a choice of added client benefits like a special shore experience, private car and driver or additional shipboard credits. I have clients sailing on a Virtuoso Voyage this fall and they are excited about the additional amenities they are receiving at no addtitional cost to them. I will be training to be a Virtuoso Host for next year.

I love to help people plan and book cruises as I have had many wonderful experiences on cruises. They are a wonderful way to see the world!
